As part of an Agile coaching engagement with a new client of Kaizania, we had our first day of Agile training with the whole team!

What a fun day it was for sure!

Nice, fun, eager people to train! What a pleasure!

We covered the usual, Agile Overview with the emphasis on the Flexible Production Era, 7 principles of Lean, History and Principles of Scrum, the Scrum Framework and for the first time, Kaizania covered Kanban in a training session…

Some highlights from the day:

– The people…

– The ball-point game, hehe, what fun that was, and a first for us… they played the game before and brushed off my explanation of the goal and the rules… what a mess… first two iterations they got zero… then they started to gather structure as the communication and collaboration started to kick-in… overall, great success, different outcome than we usually get, but agile as we are, the points taken from the game was well worth it and the debriefing extremely valuable

– The pizza, not going to say more…

– Kanban, for the first time we trained a team on Kanban… we picked a game to illustrate Kanban in a fun and interactive way, Mr Happyface, and it worked so well! I would recommend this game to any trainer who wants to illustrate Kanban in a fun and interactive way!

Well, thats it, tired, yet, excited, looking forward to tomorrow where we need to put all we learnt today into practice and have another fun-filled day with an exciting bunch of people! ( nothing to do with the fact that there is apparently a ‘special’ lunch planned for tomorrow 🙂 ! )
